RUSH/INSTALLS COMMITTEE TRANSITION
TIMELINE
Considering the committee has the entirety of the summer to plan (roughly three months due to Summer Break), there is more time when planning for a Fall Rush when compared to the time to plan for Spring Rush (roughly a month due to Winter Break). The timelines below indicate rough deadlines for the tasks that the committee is responsible in upholding with respect to the amount of time given for planning. Exact dates vary by semester. Please remember to update Active House every step of the way.

FALL SEMESTER
    Post-Election: Mid-May
    (1) Create groupchat with Rush/Installs Committee Members, New Member Educator, Vice President External
    (2) Figure out weekly meeting times that work for majority of members via When2Meet
    At First/Second Meeting: Late May or Early June
    (1) Establish rush chairs by committee vote with an election run by New Member Educator if necessary
    (2) Brainstorm rush themes and event ideas, assign event leads, but does not have to be concrete yet
    (3) Send out a Discord poll asking about Active House availability for hosting a pre-rush event
    (4) Create Rush interest form
    Early to Mid-June
    (1) Fill out rush themes slides and narrow down options
    (2) Send out a Discord poll and rush themes slides for Active House to vote on a theme
    Late June to Early July
    (1) Finalize rush theme based on Active House vote
    (2) Begin creating graphics, which includes the FB/IG banner, IG schedule, IG story countdowns, daily IG stories, FB PFPs, IG collage—communicate with Historian for additional help
    (3) Finalize rush events—including materials, location, titles, descriptions, and presentations
    (4) Plan photoshoot location, outfits, etc. to fit rush theme
    (5) Send out a When2Meet on Discord to schedule day of photoshoot
    Mid-July to Late July
    (1) Finalize FB/IG banner, IG schedule
    (2) Finish editing IG collage and FB PFPs with photoshoot pictures
    (3) Finish creating IG story countdowns and daily IG stories
    (4) Update contact sheet
    (5) Inform Active House via Discord to create Active House Slides to share with rushees
    Early August to Mid-August
    (1) Double-check with Executive Board and Active House to ensure the majority is satisfied with outcomes of graphics
    (2) Finalize all graphics and have them appropriately organized in the drive
    (3) Inform Active House via Discord to reach out to at least five rushees in the contact sheet
    (4) IG collage is posted and FB layouts are updated + FB event is linked to PFP (see Rush-Specific Section in FAQs + Answers for how the step-by-step)
    (5) IG story countdown prompts are posted each day leading up to rush
    Late-August to Early September
    (1) Rush begins!
    (2) Ensure that all events are executed as planned; do not be afraid to ask one another for help
    (3) Be especially attentive to the direction of the New Member Educator during two weeks of rush itself
    (4) On the day of a rush event, the daily IG story graphic is posted, usually sending out a reminder in the Discord to remind Active House to post the graphic, the location/time of the event, and the attire
    (5) Event leads should take attendance of sisters present at the rush event
    (6) Event leads should have rushees sign-in at the beginning of each event
    Mid-September to Late September
    (1) New Member Process begins
    (2) Ensure Active House Slides are completed
    (3) Begin brainstorming themes and venues for Installs
    (4) Ensure Installs budget is finalized by Treasurer
    Late September to Early October
    (1) Send out Discord poll for Active House to vote on an Installs theme
    (2) Continue researching venues
    Early October to Mid-October
    (1) Finalize Installs theme
    (2) Finalize Installs venue—including decorations, location, playlist, photographer and presentation
    (3) Begin creating Installs graphics, which include a program of events, name tags, other decorations
    (4) Send out RSVP form on ALL platforms: coordinate with committee to post on Discord for active house, coordinate with VPX to post on Facebook for Alumnae, and coordinate with Historian(s) to post on Instagram for the general public
    (5) Work with Sisterhood Chair(s) to ensure celebration of graduating sisters is carried out appropriately: gifts, presentation, etc. (see Installs-Specific Section in FAQs + Answers for details)
    Late October to Early December
    (1) Finalize ticket sales and attendance
    (2) Print program of events and name tags
    Mid-December to Late December
    (1) Installs occurs and is MC'd by the committee chairs
    (2) Update transition documents
    (3) Hold transition meeting with new committee

NOTE
Rush/Installs Committee is a lot of work and requires effort from not only the committee, but input and participation of Active House. The events that the committee are responsible for are only possible with continuous support from Executive Board and Active House, regardless of individual roles and responsibilities.
